The July 2019 ECF Grading List will be used to determine section allocation and grading prizes.
Ungraded players must provide evidence of previous grades and recent performances in other competitions.
The decision of the organisers will be final as to which section an ungraded player may enter
£35 for all sections to ECF members at Silver level and above.
ECF Bronze members and non-members must pay an additional ‘pay to play’ fee of £7.50
Juniors (under 18 on 1st September 2019) may deduct £5
Entries received after Wednesday 27th November 2019 may not be accepted.
Timetable for Playing Sections
Except for round 5, players may request one half-point bye.
Rates and Conditions of Play
36 moves in 90 minutes, then 15 minutes quick play finish.
A player failing to appear at the board within 30 minutes of the start of any round will be defaulted for that round.
Prizes will be awarded according to the number of entries. Ungraded players may not win grading prizes and not more than third prize in any tournament except the Major.

Payment to be made with a cheque payable to Chess 4U or by Bank Transfer to Chess 4U, Sort Code: 30-13-42, Account Number: 12757768. Please use your name as the reference.
The hotel is located in the centre of the historic city of Hereford and is within an easy 15-minute walk from the Hereford railway station and under 2hours by car from Birmingham, Bristol and Cardiff.
The hotel has a limited car park on a pay & display basis. Hotel guests will receive a discount. There are also several easy to find NCP car parks in the immediate area.
