Minutes
A copy of the minutes of the previous Annual General Meeting having been distributed to all present, it was agreed that they be taken as read. A copy was signed by the Chairman.

Secretary's Report
In his capacity as grader the secretary that the 2002 BCF list had been produced on time and without the problems of the prevous year. Work on the Cornwall results was well under way.
The secretary noted that, in view of the large number of players with internet access, the web site was now the main method of publishing information to the members. This being the case, the production of the Winter Programme in its existing form involved unnecessary duplication of work. His proposal that publication of the Winter Programme be discontinued was agreed. He undertook to continue sending formal notices and fixture lists by post.

Treasurer's Report
The treasurer presented the accounts for the 2001/2002 season. These are appended at the foot hereof. As the post of auditor was vacant, he requested that the chairman verify the year end bank statement balance. This was done and the accounts were approved.

League Secretary's Report
The league secretary reported that the County Shield had been won by Penwith A with Camborne as runners up. The clubs liable for relegation were North Cornwall and St Austell, the latter retaining their place in division 1 by reason of Liskeard B exercising their right to promotion. Godolphin B were division 2 champions, with Liskeard B finishing 2nd.
The A. W. Busby Cup was won by Truro who defeated Camborne in the final. Penwith won the Under 115 trophy, defeating Truro in the final.

Match Captain's Report
The match captain reported a less successful season, the only win being against Dorset. He thank all who played and particularly those who provided transport.

Junior Secretary's Report
The junior secretary reported on the year's activities, the competition winners being listed below. He thanked all those who had assisted during the year.
He anounced that for the year from September 2002 Cornwall Junior Chess would benefit by a sponsorship in the sum of £1,000 from Mr and Mrs Mark Hassall of the Carnon Downs Garden Centre. The meeting joined him in thanking them for this most generous gesture.
