The ECF December 2024 ratings list will be used for entries.
Prize fund expected to be £400 per section, subject to the number of entries received.
Ungraded players are not eligible to win grading prizes and can only receive 50% of any prize money.
Entry Fees
£37 for all sections to ECF members at Gold level and above.
ECF Bronze members and non-members must pay an additional ‘pay to play’ fee at the new rate of £15
Entries will be received on a first come, first served basis with capacity limited to 80
Timetable for Playing Sections
Round 1 Saturday 0930
Round 2 Saturday 1400
Round 3 Saturday 1830
Round 4 Sunday 1000
Round 5 Sunday 1430
Default and re-pairing
30 minutes after the scheduled start times.
Except for round 5, players may request one half-point bye.
Rates of Play
All moves in 75 minutes, plus 30 second per move increment from move 1.

  • How to get to the congress
    If coming by car, leave the M5 at J20, head for the seafront and turn right. (It’s that simple.) There is ample car parking at the hotel.
    If coming by train, alight at Yatton. This is about 4 miles away. There is a not particularly frequent bus service from Yatton to Clevedon, but you may wish to use a taxi.
