½-Point Bye
A half-point bye may be taken in rounds 1, provided this is requested before the first round pairings are drawn.

Rate and Conditions of Play
All moves in 25 minutes plus 10 seconds per move increments from move 1
A player failing to appear at the board within 15 minutes of the start of any round is liable to be defaulted for that round.

Prizes
The following prizes will be awarded:
An unrated player may not win a trophy or a sum of money higher than half the full amount of their prize.

Refreshments
Refreshments will not be provided and may be obtained at the bar. Only food and drink purchased at the venue can be consumed inside.

|
ECF membership
ECF membership required to a minimum of Bronze level. Non-members will need to pay a “pay to play” fee of £15 in addition to their entry fee. At the end of the congress the organisers will arrange for this to be paid to the ECF.
